A Warm (Enough) Afternoon

Finally! Warm(er) weather! Yay!
I don't know about you, but around here the natives were getting restless, and we were long overdue for an afternoon in the fresh air. Gracie and Jack were given a swingset for Christmas by Mimi (and swings by Nana), and they really hadn't gotten to play on it due to the freezing temperatures. Everytime we pulled into the driveway Gracie would see it and ask if she could "sking." Umm, no. You might be able to handle the cold, Little Girl, but Mommy and Daddy cannot. So, she was super-excited when I told her to put her coat on after naptime today. (So excited that she not only put on her coat, she put on two different dress shoes, her hat, and one of her daddy's ski gloves.)

It was this cutie-pie's first time in a swing.

Once he started swinging, this sweet face:

Turned into this face:

He. Didn't. Like it. One. Bit!
I even tried to prop him up with towels to make him more comfortable, but he wasn't having it.
Big Sister, on the other hand, was having the time of her life in her toddler swing!

Once I stopped his swing, Jack spent the rest of his time trying to get his hand in his mouth.
(We have been battling the little thumb sucker with this for the past week-he'll spit his paci out and put his thumb in...ugh!)
Still swinging...

Still trying....

Finally, it began getting cold, and I persuaded G to go inside (the power of fruit snacks!).
We had a blast playing with our new toy, and I can't wait until it really warms up and we can play outside everyday.
I also can't wait for the leaves and grass to come back. Our yard looks so bare and pitiful:

Hope you're enjoying the warm(er) weather too!

We ventured out to the Greenville Zoo yesterday, it was so nice. The temp got up to 65 degrees! Glad you guys got to get out, too! I'm sure it won't take Jack too long to warm up to the swing!

The weather's been nice here, too! Mid 50s and sunny this past week, high 40s and sunny this week.

Lovelovelove the pics from the new camera - I have two from new years in my cube. Good call on that one.

Too funny! I laughed out loud at Jack's face! Maybe by the time it warms up and he's a little older he'll like it. Here's hoping! Little people sure are funny about expressing their opinions! Glad Gracie had fun! :)
