We were able to spend a few days at home after Christmas before heading down to Atlanta for New Years. Evan and Scott were kind enough to open their home to us for the weekend (ours were the first kids to ever come in their house--with Gracie, that's brave!).
We headed down on Wednesday afternoon. Chad drove, and Gracie slept the whole way!
Evan takes her cooking very seriously :o)
What are you looking at?
Oh, it's just Scott!
On Friday morning, we met Ally at the Georgia Aquarium (post to follow) and then met the boys for a yummy lunch at Vickery's in Buckhead. When we got home, it was time to prepare for the evening's festivities.
Gracie loved helping with the cupcakes that Evan made (from scratch, may I add!).

Once all the cupcakes were frosted, the party was ready to begin! Will, Stef, Jordan, Ally, and Chris all joined us for a fun (and food)-filled evening.Stef got her hands on Baby Boy first.
Gracie opened more presents from Ally and Chris.
Some of us almost didn't make it to Midnight...I did wake up eventually :o)
As 2010 was ushered in, we enjoyed a New Years toast surrounded by wonderful friends who have become family. What a great, low-key way to spend the holiday!New Years Day was spent hanging out and watching football...

Cleaning up the party...
Playing with the dogs...

We spent one more night at the Cline's before heading back to Greenville to catch the PapaJohn's.com Bowl (what a sad dissapointment that was). Thank you Evan and Scott for a wonderful visit! We can't wait to see you again soon :o)
In 2009 we lived apart and moved again, expected and welcomed a new member of the family, learned how to live on much less than we ever thought we could, and became stronger in our faith and marriage. If 2009 is any indication, 2010 is sure to be another exciting year for the Staggs family!

Happy New Year from our family to yours!
