In no particular order:
This picture is horrible, but it's gorgeous in person. I might actually think it's prettier than the USC one...Yikes!
Completed my first boutique order. That is 172 bows and clips.
If you don't believe me, count them :o)
This next one I am INSANELY proud of...
My first-ever sewing project!Thank goodness you can't look too closely because both of these things are far from perfect!
I did not work from a pattern; just kinda "winged" it. I certainly wouldn't give them to someone or sell them, but Baby Staggs (aka Merv) won't know the difference.
My second-ever sewing project, but my first dress!A pillowcase dress...hardly heirloom style sewing.
Once again, no pattern, but I did use measurements from a similar dress I bought for Gracie last fall. I added about 5 inches to the length, and it's a little big. Oh well!
I can't wait for Gracie to wear the set so I can take a picture!
Sewing has been a specialty of my mom's for years. She always made our Halloween costumes and Easter dresses as kids and later graduated to gameday and Cup dresses for her college girls. I was never interested in learning until I realized how expensive it was to dress my daughter! I am so excited to begin learning, and feel so blessed to have been handed down a sewing machine by a friend's mother. Thank you Mrs. Watson!! I'm hoping to have many more projects to share in the future!

I LOVE your bows Kelli! You are so talented! I'll have to check you out on etsy and put in an order for my nieces! :)
Oh my gosh Kelli!!!! Everything looks great! You'll have to call me when you get am minute and let me know how it was getting the machine up and running. The bows look fabulous, and I can't wait to get some of Em's clothes in so that I can place some orders for matching bows! :) And you SHOULD be insanely proud of yourself for the sewn items...they are FANTASTIC! Can't wait to see what else you make!!! Love you!
I LOVE the Clemson bow! It looks awesome...very cute ribbon that you found by the way!
such cute stuff! Your first order: Did one single person order all 172 bows??
I also have the same goal: learning to sew! I am hoping for a sewing machine for Christmas :) Also, hoping to steal some lessons from Brooke!
Ooh-Good idea Courtney! Brooke...I need lessons! Bad!
Kelli, that is ALL amazing! I can't believe that table full of bows!!! It was great to see you and Gracie last week! :)
